About Us – Radio Jalsa Fiji

Welcome to Jalsa Fiji Radio, your trusted voice for the local Christchurch, New Zealand.

Founded over 11 years ago by Rajneeta Chand, Jalsa Fiji Radio was born from a deep passion for music, culture, and community service. What started as a small initiative has now become a vibrant platform connecting people through entertainment, news, cultural programs, and live event coverage.

We are proud to have covered major community events, supported numerous charity causes, and helped promote local businesses and talents. Our goal is simple: to keep our community informed, entertained, and united.

In 2024, we were honored with the Media Legend Award at the Kiwi Indian Excellence Awards, presented by the Canterbury Punjabi Association – a proud recognition of our commitment and contribution to the community.

We are also proud to have been three-time finalists at the New Zealand Radio Awards. This honor celebrated our outstanding contribution to radio in New Zealand.
